The best damn coffee we found in Guadalajara. Shout out to Rob P. from San Diego for pushing us to try a ton of places. They roast their own stuff, and the cafe is quite interetsing if you walk around.
The staff was friendly, and at 40 pesos or less for a latte, an amazing price. 100% recommended. -

In every town I visit, trying coffee shops is one of my favorite activities. I ended up at Labranza on my first full day in town, opting for an evening coffee after a long day of walking. I instantly fell in love!
First of all, they roast their own coffee in house, which is a huge plus considering the excellent aroma when you walk in. I had a 29 peso Americano and the batista offered to steam the milk when I asked for some. I love that!
I tried a 39 peso grande latte the next day and it was also delicious. Of course I came back the third day and got a coffee and a half kilogram of beans to take back to San Diego. At 120 pesos, I couldn't not.
This place is not your Starbucks clone and seems to have owners and workers that care about their product. I will make every effort to return next time I'm in Guadalajara! -

Nothing special about the coffee; just regular. Too bad they did not extract the advantage of having their own coffee roster. Didn't see anyone hanging around (mid morning) that one would expect if the place was really great; looks abandoned. The top two shelf of their vending counter was empty; no offers of coffee roll or such.
